A friend who uses a Linux operating system wants to install antivirus on his notebook. This time he wants to go AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition for Linux because he was already used to using AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition for Windows. Because he uses dreamlinux, then I download the AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition for Linux for Debian (dreamlinux developed from the Debian GNU) here.
Indeed, Grisoft sudah me-release has release AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition for Windows version 8 as the newest version until now, but for the AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition is available for Linux version 7.5. Once the process is finished, I immediately double-click on the file ‘avg75fld-r51-a1243.i386.deb’ to run the installation process.
After the installation is complete, enter the terminal and type the following command (without quotes):
“sudo /opt/grisoft/avggui/bin/avggui_update_licinfo.sh”
and then type your name and company name to display the GUI of AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition for Linux. AVG shortcut will appear on the menu “Accessories”.
